Spotify Removes 10,000-Song Limit on Library

Spotify Removes 10,000-Song Limit on Library By Techtonic group Spotify  has had a 10,000 song limit in the library for quite a while now. The company is now making changes to  let users add as many songs they would like  to the music library. Up until now, the Swedish music streaming giant used to show an error that reads  "Epic collection, friend. There's no more room in Your Library. To save more, you'll need to remove some songs or albums.",  once the user hits the aforesaid limit. With that said, it is worth noting that this change does not impact the offline listening experience.  Spotify users will still be limited to 10,000  song downloads  on five different devices. Also, the changes are not applicable to playlists as well. The  maximum limit for playlists remains to be 10,000 tracks. To know how we got here, we will have to take a look at a bit of history involving the feature's evolution. Back in 2014, the feature reque...

Spotify Web Player Now Works with the Safari Browser

Spotify Web Player Now Works with the Safari Browser By Techtonic group Almost three years back, music streaming giant Spotify discontinued support for the Safari web browser on Apple devices without any proper explanation. This made Mac users turn to either the native Spotify Mac app or other web browsers. The company has now silently resumed support for Safari - without any official word, again! As spotted by a Reddit user who goes by the name  wolfStroker , the official supported browser list on Spotify's website has been updated to reflect the changes. If you are a committed Safari user, you can start using Spotify  web player  once again. While the absence of the web player was probably not missed due to a dedicated Mac app, users who prefer using web apps can finally rejoice. We tried out the Spotify web player on a 2017 MacBook Pro and it worked flawlessly. No hiccups whatsoever. However, if the web player is not working as intended, you may try one of ...

Spotify Adds More Parental Controls to Its Kids App

Spotify Adds More Parental Controls to Its Kids App By Techtonic group Popular music streaming platform Spotify has today added two new features to its ' Spotify Kids ' app in order to bring more control into parents' hands. Starting today, parents can access their kids' listening history, and control what content they are allowed to consume on the platform. The new features are available in the app's "Grown Ups" section, where parents will be able to  view a complete streaming history for the last three months. They will also be able to block content with just a tap . The restrictions are set on a per-account basis, so blocked content doesn't affect other children in the family: this can be useful for families with multiple kids in different age groups. Spotify launched the 'Spotify Kids' app in October last year with a library of 6,000 songs, audiobooks, and sounds that were curated into playlists. The company has since increased ...
