Oppo Find X2 Series Confirmed to Launch June 17 in India By Techtonic group Oppo has confirmed that it will launch  the Find X2 series  in India on June 17. The company had  earlier revealed  that the lineup will be available on exclusively Amazon. In fact, the e-commerce site has also set up a  dedicated landing page  for the Find X2 series, showcasing all the major features and hardware specs, including the 120Hz refresh rate, super-fast 65W charging and more. Meanwhile, the mention of the Find X2 'Series' leads us to believe that the company will launch both the Find X2 and the Find X2 Pro in the country. The tweet didn't reveal any info about the pricing, but that will probably be announced on the launch day itself. Oppo Reportedly Hires MediaTek and Unisoc Engineers for its Own Chip By Techtonic group Oppo is long-rumored to be working on an  in-house chip  to compete against the likes of Qualcomm, MediaTek, Samsung's Exynos, and Huawei's Kirin. Now, the  Chinese tech giant has reportedly hired several top executives from MediaTek and Unisoc . According to  Nikkei Asian Review,  Oppo has recently hired MediaTek's former co-chief operating officer Jeffery Ju and a former Xiaomi executive. Another executive working on MediaTek's 5G chips is said to join Oppo in a couple of months. In addition, Oppo is eyeing to hire senior talents in Qualcomm and Huawei as well. [Update: OnePlus' Statement] Oppo Shuts Down Greater Noida Factory Following Coronavirus Outbreak By Techtonic group Barely a week and a half after  reopening its Greater Noida factory  following a six-week shutdown, Oppo has closed down the plant once again after  at least six employees there tested positive for COVID-19 . The company is currently waiting for the test results of 3,000 of its employees at the factory, and plans to restart operations with only COVID-free workers once the results come back. In a statement to ET, Oppo said:  "we have suspended all operations at our manufacturing facility in Greater Noida and initiated COVID 19 testing for 3,000+ employees, for which results are awaited.  (We) will only allow employees with negative test results to resume office following all safety protocols". Samsung, Oppo, Vivo to Resume Phone Manufacturing in India Following Lockdown By Techtonic group Following the six-week-long shutdown of all  'non-essential'  businesses, the UP government has given the nod to  Samsung, Oppo, Vivo and Lava to resume production at their respective manufacturing facilities in the Noida-Greater Noida belt . The news comes just days after the Home Ministry announced a relaxation of lockdown restrictions in so-called 'Green' and 'Orange' zones in the country, although, most of the restrictions remain in place in the 'Red' zones.
